Transcription 101

Enable transcription of voice messages for easy management and searching.

Transcription can be used in both personal voicemail and in one response group voicemail.

Info: By activating transcription, you confirm that voice messages are processed by a subcontractor to Lynes, and that this processing may take place outside of Sweden.


How it works

  • With the help of AI technology the sound in the voice message is analyzed.
  • The speech translated into text and displayed in the app.

Use in-app transcription

Personal voicemail

When transcription is enabled, it appears:

  • In your call log.
  • As a notice (if enabled).
  • As a email (if enabled) with a summary of the message.

Do you want to hide the transcriptions in the log?

  1. Go to your call log.
  1. Click on eye icon to filter.
  1. Turn off View voicemail transcriptions.

When sharing a call log, you can choose to: include or exclude the transcription.


Response group voicemail

When transcription is enabled, it appears:

  • IN response group call history.
  • Click on play to see the full transcript.

When sharing a call log, you can choose to: include or exclude the transcription.


Search transcriptions

To find voicemails quickly:

  1. Click on search box.
  1. Click on the microphone and enter a keyword.
  1. Choose to display results in:
    • Your own voicemail → click phone icon.
    • A response group → click Call Center icon.
  1. Click on the result to read the content.

Enable transcription

Personal voicemail

  1. Click on gear icon.
  1. Select Personal settings.
  1. Expand the list Telephone & conference.
  1. Click on Voicemail.
  1. Activate Transcribe voicemails.

Response group voicemail

Requires authorization Telephony system.

  1. Go to response group settings during Call handling.
  1. Expand Voicemail.
  1. Activate Transcribe voicemails.
